The short answer
VLVTN has six smart link types: Release, Playlist, Artist, Link-in-Bio, Email Signup, and Download. The Free plan can create only the Release type and is capped at 5 links total. The other five types require a Pro plan.

The six link types

When you create a link, the What type of link? screen shows one card per type. Here is what each one is for:

  1. Release
    Promote a music release across all platforms. This is the only type the Free plan can create.
  2. Playlist
    Share a playlist with custom branding. Requires Pro.
  3. Artist
    Create an artist landing page. Requires Pro.
  4. Link-in-Bio
    A link-in-bio with multiple destinations. Requires Pro.
  5. Email Signup
    Capture email subscribers. Requires Pro.
  6. Download
    Deliver a downloadable file. Requires Pro.

What Free includes

The Free plan can create only the Release type, and your account is limited to 5 links in total. The other five types, Playlist, Artist, Link-in-Bio, Email Signup, and Download, require a Pro plan. Pro is unlimited. If you try a Pro-only type on Free, you get an error that reads The "<type>" link type requires a Pro plan.

Does VLVTN offer pre-save links?

No. VLVTN does not offer pre-save. A Release link lists your release on every platform and tracks the click-out to each one.
