Sync Email Signups to Your ESP

The short answer
Connect an email service provider under Dashboard, Settings, in the Email Service Providers section. Then open a smart link, turn on the Email Opt-in toggle on the Settings tab, and choose your ESP from the Email Service Provider dropdown. Captured emails sync to that ESP automatically. This requires a Pro plan.

Connect an email service provider

Email service providers require a Pro plan. On a non-Pro plan you see a Pro badge and a gated message.
  1. Open Settings
    Go to Dashboard, Settings. Find the Email Service Providers section. Its subheading reads Sync captured emails to your ESP automatically.
  2. Select Add ESP Integration
    Select Add ESP Integration to open the form.
  3. Enter your details
    Choose a Provider. Velveteen Email is the only provider available today. Enter your API Key, which is required. Name, for example My ESP, and API URL, for example https://email.vlvtntech.com, are optional.
  4. Save and test
    Select Save Integration, then use the Test button to verify the connection.

Where do I connect an ESP?

Which providers are supported?

The Provider dropdown currently lists Velveteen Email only. You also enter an API Key, which is required, an optional Name, and an optional API URL.

Open the smart link in the editor, go to the Settings tab, and turn on the Email Opt-in toggle. Only then does the Email Service Provider dropdown appear, where you choose None or your connected ESP.

What event does an email signup fire?

A captured email syncs to the chosen ESP automatically and fires the Lead event.
